To help ensure your submitted artifacts meet the Pre-Assessment Check for completeness, a series of features have been implemented to prevent you from sending an incomplete artifact to your portfolio. We’ve compiled a list of those new features and why you may not be able to submit your artifact to your portfolio.
Your file still needs to finish processing.
If your file has not finished processing after being uploaded, you will not be able to send it to your portfolio. When you attempt to click the green Send to Portfolio button, it will be deactivated and you will see a message stating “Your artifact has not yet finished processing.” The file preview above your artifact will also show a spinning circle.
Once the file has been processed, the Send to Portfolio button will be activated as long as all other file requirements have been met.
If the file does not finish processing or shows a broken file image in the preview, please contact Support by emailing support@bloomboard.com.
The minimum number of required files has yet to be uploaded for the artifact.
Some artifacts may require multiple files to meet the artifact requirements. If you do not have the minimum number of files uploaded, the green Send to Portfolio button will be deactivated and you will see a message stating “A minimum of X files are required before you can send artifacts to your portfolio.”
Once the minimum number of files has been uploaded, the Send to Portfolio button will be activated as long as all other file requirements have been met.
You have not + tagged your required annotations to a Competency Indicator.
Some artifacts require you to both annotate the artifact as well as +tag it to a Competency Indicator. If this is an artifact requirement, the green Send to Portfolio button will be deactivated and you will see a message stating “Please ensure this artifact has tagged each required annotation indicator at least once.”
Once you have tagged the required annotation Competency Indicators to your annotations, the Send to Portfolio button will be activated as long as all other file requirements have been met.
For more information on using the annotation and +tag feature, please view the support article, Annotating Your Evidence (M6, M7).
An incorrect file type cannot be uploaded as evidence.
You may notice that some files cannot be chosen when uploading your files. This is because they are an incompatible file type for that artifact. You can see the accepted file types by hovering over the artifact requirements.
Here are some examples. Please note, the required file type will vary by artifact.
You have not updated an artifact previously assessed as Incomplete or Not Earned.
Because it is not a best practice to submit a previously assessed artifact without making any updates, when you click the green Send to Portfolio button, a pop-up message will remind you to update your artifact.
