We’ve redesigned our site from the ground up to optimize the learning experience. If you previously accessed the prior version of our site to earn micro-credentials, here are some frequently asked questions to help address any outstanding questions you may have.
Q: How do I access the new BloomBoard?
A: You can access the new platform by logging in at my.bloomboard.com or by visiting bloomboard.com and clicking Sign In in the top right hand corner.
Q: Why did you make these changes?
A: We’ve redesigned our site from the ground up to optimize the learning experience by providing:
- An all-new educator learning experience
- A cohesive system of micro-credentials aligned to instructional standards and organized by pedagogical topic.
- A brand new discovery experience that enables both educators and administrators to browse and pin micro-credentials that address the skills you want to work on.
Q: My district previously used BloomBoard for micro-credential submissions, how do we continue leveraging micro-credentials for our organization?
A: We invite you to learn more about our platform and solutions at bloomboard.com. If you’d like a demo, please reach out to email@example.com and we'll reach out!
Q: How do I submit my outstanding micro-credential submission I was previously working on prior to the launch of the new platform?
A: If you were in the midst of a submission, you can submit it by navigating to bb1.bloomboard.com. If you earn the micro-credential, you will also be able to opt to view and store your badge on the new platform at my.bloomboard.com.
Q: Can I still apply for micro-credentials for free on bloomboard.com?
A: Previously, micro-credentials were offered free for a limited time. Those micro-credentials are not available on our new platform. Educators can access our new micro-credentials through their district’s partnership with BloomBoard.
Q: What happened to the micro-credentials I earned on the previous version of the micro-credential platform?
A: You may access these micro-credentials on the prior platform for a limited time by visiting bb1.bloomboard.com. You may also opt to view and store all of your earned micro-credentials on the new platform through your Profile page. To visit your Profile, log in at my.bloomboard.com and click on your photo beneath My Profile.
Q: I’m an assessor, how can I assess micro-credentials?
A: If you were an assessor on the prior micro-credential platform, you can assess submissions at https://bb2.bloomboard.com/. Note that these micro-credentials are not being included on the new platform or in BloomBoard programs offered through the new platform, but submissions may still trickle in. You’ll get an email notifying you of new submissions if they do come in.
If you are an assessor on our new platform, you can access your submissions at my.bloomboard.com and clicking Assess on the left hand side. If you are missing the Assess button, please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q: What is the nature of BloomBoard's relationship with Digital Promise?
A: BloomBoard currently hosts certain stacks of micro-credentials for Digital Promise at bb1.bloomboard.com. These micro-credentials are separate from the BloomBoard micro-credentials available on our new platform.
