BloomBoard units include all the resources and instruction you need to be successful in earning credit, while also allowing you to take a self-directed approach to planning your learning path.
Using a process called Backward Design, you will preview each unit to determine:
- What do the instructions for this artifact part require me to do?
- Will I need to use a specific template or resource to complete the artifact part?
- What specific evidence will I submit?
- What additional resources are needed to complete the artifact part?
- Does this artifact part require me to implement a lesson or activity with students, or do I need to collaborate or interact with colleagues?
- What does each prompt or requirement ask me to do?
- Are there timing considerations for the artifact part? Do I need to plan to implement, observe over time, and then reflect?
- Which Learn activities will I need to complete to build the knowledge and skills needed to successfully complete each artifact part?
Designing backwards also applies to how you chart your path through an entire course or program.
By reviewing the submission requirements of each unit, you can ensure that you are gathering evidence at appropriate times in your practice and can consider how artifacts connect to your current practice.
Remember, assessors will use the Requirements and/or Prompts in each artifact part to evaluate your evidence. Before submitting, use the Review Artifact tab to ensure you have addressed each detail and that you have made your thinking clear.
