One-On-One Coaching
One of the benefits of learning through BloomBoard is the many support opportunities available. The ability to meet one-on-one with your BloomBoard coach is one of those options available. Whether you want to review assessor feedback, talk through your artifact development, ask questions about the content or competency indicators, set milestone dates and calendar planning, or any other need you may have, your coach is just a few clicks of a mouse away.
Please note, if you are completing university courses, you should reach out to your assigned faculty member with these types of questions.
Calendly
Calendly is the scheduling app that BloomBoard utilizes to provide ease in scheduling one-on-one meetings through Zoom. Your BloomBoard coach will provide you with a Calendly link to their own personalized Calendly page. You can find that link on the Running Agenda provided through BloomBoard [such as: BloomBoard Success Academy Agenda image, BloomBoard Success Institute Agenda image, or Pacing Guide, etc].
How do I create an appointment using Calendly?
- When you click on the provided Calendly link for your coach, you will be taken to their personalized Calendly page.
- Days with appointment options will be marked in blue. Pick an available day that fits your schedule.
- Click the time that best fits your schedule.
There will be several questions for you to answer that will help you provide the context for your scheduled coaching session. Take a moment to provide those answers to help your coach prepare to best meet your coaching needs.
You might also have the option to provide yourself with text message reminders before your coaching session. - Once you complete the registration process, you will receive an email invitation for your session.
The invitation will create a calendar entry for your scheduled session as well. All coaching sessions occur virtually using Zoom. You will find the Zoom link you will use to join the coaching session on your scheduled date and time. - After your scheduled one-on-one coaching session, you will likely receive an email through Calendly that provides a thank you from your coach and a link to a feedback survey. Please take a moment to provide anonymous feedback on your coaching session.
- Your coach will also follow up with next steps or resources discussed in your session with a direct message on the platform.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?
Most coaches have included a cancel or reschedule button option on their reminder and/or reconfirmation emails that come before your scheduled session. All coaches understand that schedules may change, please send your coach a direct message if you must cancel at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances.
A note about Gmail users and Google’s new anti-spam policy.
A recent update (June 2023) in Google will impact how Calendly meetings show up on your calendars. To combat spam and unsolicited invitations, Google Calendar will now only automatically add meetings to an invitee's calendar if the sender has previously interacted with the invitee in Gmail.
Because we use the platform Collaborate space and direct messages for our communication, coaches and participants have not interacted with Google (Gmail or Google Calendar). All you have to do is click ‘I know the sender’ and ‘Yes’ to the invite — and you’re set!
