This support article is for students working in a Degree or Certificate Program through an institute of higher education as well as those working on units with an S4 submission type.
Before recording your video evidence, closely review the requirements for the unit you are working on to ensure you demonstrate all requirements within your video.
Video Evidence
Video evidence in BloomBoard units of learning is designed for learners to visually and/or audibly demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and abilities within a single session of time. Typically, a session includes instructing students but may also include but is not limited to modeling, 1:1 or group meetings, and coaching.
If the video evidence submitted initially does not demonstrate all of the requirements (directly observable in the video), the participant will need to record another video demonstrating each requirement in their resubmitted video.
If working in a degree or certificate program through an institute of higher education, a participant’s faculty member may choose to assess video requirements “in sum,” meaning that the requirements are demonstrated between the evidence in two or more different submissions. That decision is at the discretion of the faculty member.
While a video may be edited for clarity, splicing together evidence from multiple sessions is an inauthentic demonstration of competency and will be assessed as Not Earned. (A participant’s faculty member, however, may choose to allow for splicing of evidence.)
