Courses provide teachers with recognition for the skills they develop throughout their careers. To help you motivate and encourage your educators to engage in courses, we’ve put together a list of ways you can celebrate their accomplishments. Make your educators feel special while giving them the recognition they deserve!
Twitter Shout-Outs. For every educator who has completed and earned a unit or course, be sure to congratulate them via Twitter from your school or district’s Twitter account.
Newsletter Feature. Does your school or district have a monthly newsletter? Consider featuring educators who have earned their units or courses in the newsletter for organization-wide
recognition. In addition, to provide recognition for these educators, it’s a great way to get other
educators excited about engaging in coursework.
Leadership / Board Meetings. Make educators feel extra special and appreciated by recognizing them during regularly scheduled leadership meetings. For an extra boost of recognition, have your Superintendent recognize these educators at the next School Board meeting.
Free Pass. Allow any educators who are engaging in courses a free pass from attending a face-to-face professional development session typically required by the district or school.
School Swag. Everybody loves free swag. Offer educators a piece of school clothing, a water bottle, or other swag of their choice for each unit or course they complete.
Signature Line. Encourage educators to showcase their accomplishments with colleagues, peers, parents, and others, by adding their unit badge to their email signature line.
Monetary Incentives. Consider offering educators a gift card, stipend, or salary increase for
completed courses.
BloomBoard Recognition. Nominate educators (who have earned or are actively pursuing a
course) to be recognized by BloomBoard by emailing us at marketing@bloomboard.com. Our marketing team will give them a shout-out on our social media channels.
